New indie game publisher Kinetic Publishing, whose development team is behind the co-op horror title Phasmophobia, has held its inaugural games showcase. The event unveiled five ambitious new titles slated for release in 2027 and 2028.
The most significant announcement from Kinetic's show was the confirmation that it will publish the next game from Sam Barlow, the creator of Telling Lies and Immortality. Barlow's new game is titled Precognition, previously revealed as "Project C." Consistent with Barlow's previous works, Precognition will feature full motion video (FMV) sequences and nonlinear storytelling.
In the game, players assume the role of Diana, a woman who discovers she can receive visions.
Kinetic Publishing's debut showcase offers a glimpse into the publisher's future direction, highlighting a focus on narrative-driven and unique gaming experiences aimed at distinguishing themselves within the indie market.
Precognition's specific release date has not yet been detailed, but it is part of a broader launch schedule planned for 2027 and 2028.
