Kingsmen Begins Drilling at Las Coloradas Silver Project in Mexico
Kingsmen Resources Ltd. has commenced diamond drilling at its wholly-owned Las Coloradas silver project in Chihuahua, Mexico. The program targets the Soledad and Soledad II vein systems, where prior surface sampling returned significant silver grades.
Vancouver, British Columbia – Kingsmen Resources Ltd. has commenced diamond drilling operations at its 100% owned Las Coloradas silver project in Chihuahua, Mexico. The company has finalized a drill contract, and a rig is being mobilized to the site. All necessary permits and land access agreements are secured.
The drilling program is planned to consist of 14 holes, focusing on the Soledad and Soledad II vein systems. Surface sampling in these areas, including historic workings and the past-producing Las Coloradas mine, has previously returned significant silver grades, with local gold anomalies. The initial phase will utilize one core drill rig, with potential for sequential phases throughout 2025, depending on results.
The Las Coloradas project is situated in the Parral mining district within the Central Mexican Silver Belt. The area has a history of substantial mining activities, hosting numerous past-producing mines for silver, gold, lead, zinc, and copper. New exploration projects are also active in the region by other companies.
Kingsmen Resources is focused on advancing the Las Coloradas project, which it believes holds potential for new precious metal discoveries. The company notes that the project lies on structural and stratigraphic belts hosting other high-grade deposits. Preliminary geophysical surveys suggest a more extensive mineralized system than previously documented.
