Kitzbühel Partners with Piedmont for Fourth Annual Culinary Event

Kitzbühel Tourism is set to host its "KITZ Kulinarik x Piemont" event from October 10-13, 2024, in Kitzbühel's Stadtpark. This marks the fourth iteration of the collaborative project aimed at merging Kitzbühel's local gastronomy with the renowned culinary offerings of Italy's Piedmont region, particularly the area around Alba.

The event is part of Kitzbühel's ongoing brand development strategy, designed to highlight the resort town's diverse attractions beyond winter sports. According to a recent press release, this culinary weekend follows the "Kitzbühel Enjoyment Autumn" that began in late August. The initiative aligns with the "Culinary Delights" success pattern identified within the #wirsindKitzbühel brand-building process.

Attendees at the Stadtpark event can expect to sample and purchase high-quality products from both Kitzbühel and Piedmont. The latter, especially Alba, is globally recognized for its truffles, which will be a featured item alongside other regional specialties such as hazelnuts and wines like Barolo and Barbaresco. This collaboration underscores Kitzbühel Tourism's effort to promote the town's gastronomic appeal during the autumn season.

Further enhancing the experience, the event includes special features such as demonstrations by Lagotto Romagnolo truffle dogs and a special menu at the restaurant Bergricht, which will fuse Tyrolean and Piedmontese culinary traditions. Kitzbühel Tourism aims to solidify the region's reputation as a year-round destination with significant culinary offerings.
