Kitzbühel Hosts Italian Piedmont Gastronomy for Fourth Time
From October 10-13, 2024, Kitzbühel will host the KITZ Culinary x Piedmont event for the fourth time. The festival pairs local specialties with delicacies from Italy's Piedmont region, including truffles and wines.
Kitzbühel, Austria, is set to host the KITZ Culinary x Piedmont event from October 10-13, 2024. This marks the fourth iteration of the culinary festival, bringing together local Kitzbühel specialties and delicacies from Italy's Piedmont region in the town's Stadtpark.
The event aims to foster a connection between two prominent gastronomic areas. Alongside offerings from Kitzbühel's local producers and restaurateurs, the festival will showcase products from Piedmont, particularly from the Alba area. Attendees can anticipate the renowned white truffle, various truffle-infused dishes, hazelnuts, and regional pasta and rice varieties. Wines from the Langhe region, such as Barolo and Barbaresco, will also be featured.
During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to sample and purchase local products. The culinary offerings will include a range of truffle-centric dishes, such as truffle and egg preparations, truffle salads, and truffle risotto. Traditional Tyrolean dishes will also be available.
The event will also feature demonstrations by Piedmont's Lagotto Romagnolo truffle dogs, showcasing their truffle-finding abilities. Additionally, the local Berggericht restaurant will present special menus in collaboration with Piedmontese producers throughout the festival.
