Kitzbühel Tourism Reports Successful Culinary Event

Kitzbühel Tourism successfully hosted its fourth annual KITZ Kulinarik culinary festival on September 1–2, drawing thousands of visitors to the town's historic center. The event showcased a variety of regional dishes and specialties from local producers and eateries. Held under sunny skies, the festival aimed to highlight the area's culinary heritage and seasonal offerings.

The event featured approximately 20 regional partners, including restaurants and producers from Kitzbühel and nearby towns. They presented around 35 authentic dishes, ranging from traditional Austrian fare like mushroom gulasch and pork ribs to more contemporary creations. A new "5+1" voucher system was introduced to encourage attendees to explore multiple food stations. Local artisans also offered their crafts and products at a market.

Live music accompanied the culinary offerings, and the town's music band performed their final concert of the year on the first day. Kitzbühel Tourism described the event as a significant success, emphasizing the positive collaboration with local businesses and the enthusiastic participation from visitors.

Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser, CEO of Kitzbühel Tourism, expressed satisfaction with the event's outcome. She highlighted the integration of culinary events into the broader branding strategy for Kitzbühel. The organization has already scheduled the next KITZ Kulinarik event for August 30–31, 2024, and announced a special collaboration with the Piedmont region of Italy, KITZ Kulinarik x Piemonte, scheduled for mid-October.
