Hamburg, Germany – December 14, 2021 – The international technology group Körber and global investment firm KKR announced that KKR has acquired a significant minority stake in Körber’s supply chain software business. This strategic partnership is intended to enhance the business's position as a global leader in supply chain solutions.

The partnership aims to improve end-to-end capabilities for customers amidst increasing supply chain complexity driven by trends like e-commerce. Körber’s supply chain software business is positioned among the top three global providers of warehouse management systems (WMS), employing over 1,300 people and serving more than 4,200 customers in over 70 countries.

KKR will collaborate with Körber’s supply chain software business on organic and inorganic growth strategies. Key objectives include expanding geographic footprint, accelerating the transition to Software as a Service (SaaS), automation, and robotics, and developing new digital solutions to support customers with increasing warehouse automation and supply chain localization.

Stephan Seifert, CEO of the Körber Group, expressed optimism about the partnership's potential to accelerate growth. KKR representatives highlighted the market's significant growth potential and anticipated leveraging their experience to help Körber's software business reach its full capabilities.
