Klassroom IPO Oversubscribed 1.18X by Day 3

Edtech startup Klassroom's initial public offering (IPO) was fully subscribed by its third day of bidding. The issue received bids for 20.74 lakh shares against an offer size of 17.58 lakh shares, resulting in an oversubscription of 1.18X.

Edtech startup Klassroom announced its initial public offering (IPO) was fully subscribed by the end of its third day of bidding. The issue received bids for 20.74 lakh shares against a total size of 17.58 lakh shares on offer, marking an oversubscription of 1.18 times.

Retail individual investors (RIIs) were the primary drivers of demand, subscribing 1.56 times their allocated quota with bids for 12.76 lakh shares against 8.18 lakh reserved. Non-institutional investors (NIIs) also showed increased interest, oversubscribing their portion by 1.02 times.

In contrast, qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) demonstrated limited interest, with their quota remaining undersubscribed at 68% as of the third day. These investors had bid for 3.15 lakh shares against 4.64 lakh shares reserved for them.

The company plans to debut on the BSE SME platform on August 7. The public issue includes a fresh issue of up to 19.89 lakh shares and an offer for sale of up to 4.66 lakh shares, aiming to raise approximately ₹39 crore at the upper price band of ₹151-159.

Proceeds from the IPO will be allocated towards technology upgrades, content development, marketing, brand building, and debt repayment. Klassroom reported a net profit of ₹7.6 crore in FY26, a 162% increase from the previous fiscal year, with operating revenue rising to ₹23 crore.
