Klinikum Nordfriesland to Operate Children's Doctor Practice in Niebüll

Klinikum Nordfriesland has assumed responsibility for the children's doctor practice in Niebüll. The city and the hospital announced that a subsidiary will relaunch the service in mid-April, ending a period without pediatric medical care that began in December 2024.

The practice, located at Osterweg 13, will be primarily financed by the town of Niebüll. This development follows Diakon Flensburg's discontinuation of its pediatric services at the turn of the year. Stephan Unger, CEO of Klinikum Nordfriesland, confirmed the resumption of care.

This reopening aims to alleviate challenges faced by local families in accessing specialized medical attention for children. The initiative is expected to ensure the continued availability of pediatric healthcare in the Nordfriesland region.
