KNESTEL joins international vehicle inspection committee CITA

KNESTEL Technologie & Elektronik GmbH officially became a member of CITA – the International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee – in April 2025. This international body unites organizations from over 50 countries dedicated to vehicle inspection, safety, and environmental standards.

The membership provides KNESTEL with early access to emerging trends and regulations within the vehicle inspection sector. It also facilitates direct exchange with key industry players, including inspection organizations and governmental bodies worldwide.

In May, KNESTEL attended the CITA international conference in Istanbul. Although the company's equipment could not be presented due to customs issues, representatives Islam Erdogan and Manuel Farkas reported fruitful discussions with potential partners and regulatory authorities.

Key topics at the conference included vehicle emissions measurement, future inspection requirements, and challenges associated with electric vehicles and driver-assistance systems.
