KNESTEL launches new analog measurement module for energy systems
KNESTEL expands its measurement and control technology portfolio with a new precision analog measurement module. The device is designed for demanding energy and control systems requiring high dynamics and accuracy.

German technology firm KNESTEL Technologie & Elektronik GmbH has introduced a new precision analog measurement module, targeting demanding energy and control systems. This module enhances KNESTEL's offerings in measurement and control technology by providing highly accurate measurement of current, voltage, and temperature.
The module is engineered for applications where dynamics, precision, and reliability are paramount. Such uses include energy storage systems, test benches, and high-dynamic drive and control applications. Its modular architecture supports simultaneous multi-channel operation and expansion for capturing multiple measurement points synchronously and with high resolution.
Seamless integration into existing systems is facilitated by EtherCAT and CAN interfaces. Notably, the EtherCAT interface's sub-100-microsecond latency ensures near real-time response, crucial for high-dynamic control loops and time-critical measurements. KNESTEL states the module achieves measurement accuracy below 0.005% of the measured value and a sampling rate of up to 20 kHz.
The company also offers custom adaptations regarding signal paths, measuring ranges, interfaces, or mechanical design, allowing the system to be optimally tailored to individual requirements, from single units to series integration.
The module is positioned as a future-proof solution suitable for applications such as battery and energy storage systems, electric drive test rigs, power electronics simulation, and renewable energy systems. KNESTEL will be exhibiting the solution at the SPS trade fair in Nuremberg from November 11-13, 2025.
