KNESTEL offers solutions for diesel exhaust particle measurement
KNESTEL Technologie & Elektronik GmbH has developed new solutions for measuring particle numbers in diesel exhaust gases. The new devices aim to meet tightening emission regulations.

KNESTEL Technologie & Elektronik GmbH has developed and is now offering a range of devices for measuring particle numbers in diesel exhaust gases. These solutions are designed to meet increasing regulatory requirements and support environmental protection goals.
The new systems, including the "PNC nano" particle counter and the "PN Reference Calibrator 2000 K" calibrator, are specifically engineered for automotive inspection stations and industrial applications. The "PNC nano" utilizes contactless Faraday Cup technology and holds international certifications, ensuring accurate measurements even for very small particles, making it suitable for vehicle inspections and emissions testing.
KNESTEL's "Modules-in-Flow" system also allows for customized solutions, enabling customers to integrate KNESTEL's modular sensor structures into their existing testing systems. The company emphasizes that particle measurement is increasingly crucial for both public health and environmental quality, as fine particles can penetrate deep into the lungs and impact air quality.
Legislation is increasingly mandating particle counting, particularly for diesel vehicles from Euro 6d onwards. The objective is to verify the proper functioning of vehicle particulate filters. KNESTEL also provides comprehensive support and consultation services for the integration and use of their equipment.
