Montreal, Canada – Knight Therapeutics Inc. has announced its assumption of commercial activities for the drug Trelstar® in Canada. The company has licensed the exclusive rights to commercialize Trelstar® from Debiopharm, a Swiss-based biopharmaceutical company.

Jonathan Ross Goodman, CEO of Knight Therapeutics, expressed the company's excitement regarding the re-launch of Trelstar®. He highlighted the team's prior experience in successfully launching and growing the brand in Canada between 2006 and 2014. Knight anticipates re-engaging with oncologists, urologists, and cancer care teams to continue offering this standard-of-care therapy to Canadian prostate cancer patients.

Trelstar® (triptorelin) is an agonist analogue of the natural gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Debiopharm has developed three sustained-release formulations (1, 3, and 6 months) of triptorelin pamoate. Triptorelin was first registered in France in 1986 and is currently marketed in over 80 countries, holding market leadership in many territories. In Canada, Trelstar® is registered for prostate cancer and was previously approved for the palliative treatment of hormone-dependent advanced prostate cancer and for managing chronic pain associated with endometriosis.

Knight Therapeutics is a specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in Montreal, Canada. It focuses on acquiring or in-licensing and commercializing innovative pharmaceutical products for Canada and Latin America. The company's shares are traded on the TSX under the symbol GUD.
