KNL secures framework agreement with Danish Defence
Telenor subsidiary KNL has secured a framework agreement with the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation for its secure high-frequency communication systems. Denmark is the third Nordic country to join KNL's NORDEFCO arrangement.

Telenor subsidiary KNL has secured a framework agreement with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) to procure its secure high-frequency communication systems for the Danish Armed Forces.
Denmark becomes the third Nordic country to participate in KNL's NORDEFCO arrangement, joining Finland and Sweden. The ten-year agreement, running from 2025 to 2035, covers CNHF communication systems. Three orders have been announced under the framework, totaling approximately €23.5 million.
KNL's technology operates independently of external infrastructure like SATCOM and GNSS, establishing connections in under one second. The systems are designed to maintain encrypted communications during jamming and other electromagnetic interference, addressing a growing need for resilient communication capabilities.
Dan Ouchterlony of Telenor stated that Denmark's participation broadens Nordic cooperation in secure communications. KNL CEO Toni Lindén called the agreement an endorsement of the company's technology and a platform for further expansion. KNL has also qualified for the UK's tactical communications framework.
