Kodiak Chemical Acquires Eco Solution Distributing, Entering Water Treatment Sector
Kodiak Chemical has acquired Eco Solution Distributing, expanding its product portfolio and entering the water treatment industry. This is the company's ninth acquisition since 2023.
CINCINNATI, Sept. 29, 2026 – Kodiak Chemical, a provider of specialty chemicals for manufacturing, announced today the acquisition of Eco Solution Distributing. This acquisition marks the company's ninth since 2023 and signifies its entry into the water treatment and environmental chemicals sector.
The company stated the deal reinforces its focus on delivering results for industrial manufacturers globally. Kodiak has self-funded its acquisitions, enabling rapid response to customer demand. Through this purchase, Kodiak gains five new locations and an expanded product offering.
The acquisition of Eco Solution Distributing adds water treatment and environmental chemicals, mineral processing agents, freeze conditioning and de-icing products, and dust control solutions to Kodiak's existing portfolio. This expands Kodiak's reach beyond the railroad industry into new markets including power generation, municipal, and industrial water treatment.
Joshua Herzing joins Kodiak as Chief Commercial Officer as part of the acquisition. Herzing brings over 25 years of experience in mining, water treatment, and power generation, as well as in leading customer-centric commercial teams.
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kodiak Chemical supplies specialty chemicals to manufacturers across a wide range of industries, operating through 15 strategically located sites in the United States and a manufacturing plant in Australia.
