Koei Tecmo delays Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hisho and cancels livestream
Koei Tecmo has indefinitely postponed the release of Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hisho. The company is currently re-evaluating the game's launch schedule and target platforms.
Japanese game developer Koei Tecmo announced a delay for its upcoming strategy title Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hisho. The company stated it is currently reassessing both the release window and the planned platform list, which previously included Switch 2, Switch, Steam, and PS5. Future availability on these specific platforms remains unconfirmed.
The delay also affects a scheduled livestream event originally set for November 4, where the company intended to showcase gameplay footage and announce a concrete release date. That event has been canceled, with no new date provided.
This postponement halts the anticipation surrounding the title, which was slated for a winter 2026 launch. The game had drawn industry attention for its plan to reintroduce city-building and administrative mechanics that have been absent from the franchise for approximately two decades.
