Koenigsegg Introduces New CCGT1 Model
Automaker Koenigsegg has unveiled its new CCGT1 model. The car pays tribute to the company's earlier CCGT GT1 race car project.

Hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg unveiled its new CCGT1 model today at an event in Monterey. The car is a tribute to the company's past CCGT GT1 race car project, which never competed.
Koenigsegg founder Christian von Koenigsegg has long desired to compete in endurance racing, such as at Le Mans. This ambition was present during the design of early Koenigsegg prototypes, with dimensions scaled to fit GT1 regulations.
The introduction of the CCGT1 follows the company's recent CC850 model, which honored Koenigsegg's first production car, the CC8S. The CCGT1 revives a former race car project that never reached the track.
Technical details and performance specifications for the CCGT1 have not yet been released. Koenigsegg is known for producing high-performance, technologically advanced hypercars.
