KONE secures elevator contract for 55 Old Broad Street office development in London
KONE Corporation will provide vertical transport solutions for the new 23-story 55 Old Broad Street office project in the City of London.
KONE Corporation has been awarded a contract to supply elevator and escalator systems for the 55 Old Broad Street office development in London’s financial district. The project includes the construction of a 23-story building rising 87 meters, alongside the refurbishment of the adjacent 65 Old Broad Street property.
The site is located near Liverpool Street station, a key transport hub in the UK capital. The integration of KONE’s people-flow technology is intended to support the energy efficiency and traffic requirements of the Grade A office space.
This project reflects ongoing efforts in the London commercial real estate market to modernize workspace infrastructure. By upgrading both new-build and existing historical sites, developers are aiming to meet current demand for high-capacity, sustainable office environments in the city center.
