Konecranes Introduces New, Smaller Mobile Harbor Crane

Finnish industrial equipment manufacturer Konecranes Oyj has introduced its latest Gottwald ESP.4 mobile harbor crane. This new model is designed to provide efficient and flexible material handling for port operations, particularly in locations where space is limited.

The ESP.4 model is optimized for handling bulk materials, such as scrap, but is also suitable for general-purpose lifting. Konecranes states that it delivers the same performance capabilities as larger cranes in its series but in a more compact and easily maneuverable unit.

Key features of the new crane include an electric luffing gear and notably low power consumption, contributing to enhanced energy efficiency and reduced operational costs. The company highlights that the design aims to support sustainable practices within port logistics.

The introduction of the Gottwald ESP.4 is part of Konecranes' ongoing efforts to develop solutions for the global port industry, addressing evolving customer demands with adaptable and high-performing equipment.
