Konecranes Launches Smart, Connected Industrial Crane

Konecranes Oyj has commenced production of a new generation of industrial cranes. These cranes integrate Konecranes Smart Features, which connect lifting equipment to cloud services via sensor technology. The goal is to collect data on crane usage and performance for analysis and productivity improvements.

The new crane enables real-time monitoring and reporting, assisting customers in identifying bottlenecks and optimizing their material flows. Konecranes states this technology offers predictive analytics, aimed at reducing unexpected downtime and extending equipment lifespan.

CEO Anders Svenningsen commented that Konecranes Smart Features deliver added value by enhancing lifting quality and streamlining maintenance.
