Konecranes secures ISO 27001 certification for digital services
Konecranes has received the ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its information security management system, covering its digital service offerings.
Konecranes has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for the information security management of its digital services. The certification applies to the delivery and development of the yourKONECRANES.com customer portal, associated mobile applications, and the TRUCONNECT remote monitoring suite used across manufacturing, ports, and process industries.
As industrial sectors increasingly integrate digital tools for predictive maintenance and operational data tracking, cybersecurity has emerged as a primary requirement for supply chain partners. Konecranes stated that this certification serves as an objective validation of its security practices, allowing the company to demonstrate compliance with international standards to its clients.
Heikki Rekola, VP of Service Technology and Product Development, noted that the certification provides a structured way to assure customers that sensitive operational data remains secure. The initiative reflects a broader trend in the manufacturing industry, where digital service providers are under pressure to formalize data security protocols to remain competitive.
The ISO 27001 standard outlines requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system. The certification process verifies that Konecranes has systematically evaluated its information security risks and implemented appropriate controls.
