Konecranes to modernize cranes at Aluminium Bahrain plant

Konecranes Oyj, a manufacturer of cranes and lifting equipment, has been awarded a contract for Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA) smelter. The agreement covers the modernization of five auxiliary cranes.

The project's objective is to extend the operational lifespan of the current cranes, improving their reliability and efficiency. ALBA is one of the world's largest integrated aluminum smelters, where dependable lifting equipment is crucial for operations.

The modernization will involve several technical upgrades intended to reduce downtime and bolster safety at the production facility. Maintenance and upgrade work is scheduled to commence shortly, with completion expected within agreed timelines.
