Körber supplies logistics solutions to dm-drogerie markt
Körber has supported dm-drogerie markt's logistics network expansion and operations modernization in Germany with its supplied solutions.

HAMBURG, Germany – January 19, 2021 – Körber, a global leader in supply chain technology, has supported the expansion of the logistics network and implementation of modernized operations for Germany’s leading drugstore chain dm-drogerie markt.
The retail company is leveraging Körber's Warehouse Management System (WMS) across multiple logistics centers, including its Wustermark distribution center near Berlin, which became operational in April 2020. This facility is described as one of Europe’s most modern.
At the Wustermark site, the WMS has been adapted to new requirements. "Intelligent emulation tools enabled intensive testing of complex software processes in advance and guaranteed smooth commissioning," said Anja Kircher, project manager at IT subsidiary dmTECH.
The system also allows for store-specific order consolidation on pallets, optimizing picking processes and reducing walking distances for employees. The company is also piloting autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for internal goods transport in picking areas at a facility in Karlsruhe.
Dm-drogerie markt received the German Logistics Prize in October 2020 for the project "Integrative. Intelligent. Automated.," which stemmed from the new Wustermark distribution center and a data-driven planning process.
