Kourtney Kardashian's Brand Lemme Faces Lawsuit Over Weight-Loss Claims

Kourtney Kardashian Barker's wellness brand, Lemme, has been named in a new class-action lawsuit. The suit, filed in California court on July 13, accuses the company of deceptive marketing.

The plaintiff alleges that Lemme falsely advertised its "Lemme GLP-1 Daily" capsule, claiming consumers would experience "un-hunger" and weight-loss benefits due to an increase in GLP-1 levels. The lawsuit asserts these claims violate California's False Advertising Law, Unfair Competition Law, and Consumer Legal Remedies Act.

While the suit does not claim the product is harmful, it alleges Lemme positioned its supplement as a natural equivalent to prescription GLP-1 drugs without sufficient scientific support for the comparison.

The "Lemme GLP-1 Daily capsule" was introduced in September 2024. Lemme marketed its alleged benefits, stating they were backed by research claiming lemon extract (Eriormin) increased naturally occurring GLP-1 by 17 percent, which the company linked to weight loss and appetite control.
