Kraken Robotics Appoints Chief Operating Officer, Hires Marketing Director
Kraken Robotics Inc. announced the appointment of Nathaniel Spencer as Chief Operating Officer and Erica Kierstead as Director of Global Marketing to support the company's growth.
ST. JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND – July 10, 2024 – Kraken Robotics Inc. has appointed Nathaniel Spencer as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective July 9. Spencer joined Kraken in 2021 through the acquisition of PanGeo Subsea, where he previously served as Vice President of Service Delivery. For the past 18 months, he has managed Kraken's subsea power business.
Spencer brings over 12 years of experience in the marine sector, including founding a subsea inspection business that was later sold. Company President and CEO Greg Reid stated that Spencer's strengths lie in driving operational performance and that the executive team is now well-structured to handle growth and integrate acquisitions.
Additionally, Kraken announced the hiring of Erica Kierstead as Director of Global Marketing. Kierstead has over 10 years of experience in marketing within the ocean technology and defense industries, with previous roles at MITRE, Hydroid, and HII.
Kierstead is expected to lead Kraken's global marketing efforts. The appointments aim to strengthen the company's capabilities as it provides subsea sensors, batteries, and robotic systems for various applications.
