Kraken Robotics Appoints Former US Navy Vice Admiral to Board
Kraken Robotics Inc. has appointed retired US Navy Vice Admiral Michael J. Connor to its Board of Directors. Connor brings extensive experience in undersea operations and robotics.

ST. JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND – Kraken Robotics Inc. has appointed retired United States Navy Vice Admiral Michael J. Connor to its Board of Directors. Connor brings over 35 years of experience in naval operations and a deep understanding of undersea robotic systems.
During his naval career, Connor rose to the rank of Vice Admiral, commanding at ship, squadron, and task force levels, including the nuclear-powered submarine USS SEAWOLF. His final assignment was as Commander, United States Submarine Forces, from September 2012 to September 2015. In this role, he led the U.S. submarine force's transition towards robotic undersea systems and oversaw key milestones, including the first operational deployment of an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) from a submarine.
Connor is also a recognized authority on the future of undersea warfare and founded ThayerMahan Inc., a company focused on using autonomous systems for maritime surveillance. Kraken Robotics President & CEO Karl Kenny highlighted the significance of Connor's appointment, noting his global recognition in undersea operations and the value his expertise will bring to the company's development within the maritime industry.
