Kraken Robotics Completes Acquisition of Subsea LiDAR Firm 3D at Depth
Kraken Robotics Inc. has finalized the acquisition of 3D at Depth, a company specializing in subsea LiDAR imaging. The deal integrates 3D at Depth's expertise into Kraken's existing technology portfolio.

Kraken Robotics Inc. announced the completion of its acquisition of 3D at Depth Inc. The transaction integrates 3D at Depth's specialization in high-resolution subsea LiDAR imaging and measurements into Kraken's existing technology offerings.
Operating as a wholly owned subsidiary, 3D at Depth will continue to provide subsea LiDAR imaging services. This complements Kraken's portfolio of sonar and sub-bottom imaging technologies, aiming to deliver comprehensive subsea intelligence solutions to clients.
Kraken President and CEO Greg Reid stated that the addition of 3D at Depth strengthens the company's ability to serve a global customer base across commercial, defense, and marine research sectors. The combined technologies are expected to provide enhanced subsea data acquisition capabilities.
Kraken Robotics develops advanced marine technology products and services, including Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) and SeaPower battery systems. The acquisition of 3D at Depth specifically adds expertise in high-resolution subsea LiDAR, applicable in industries such as offshore oil and gas, defense, and marine science.
