Kraken Robotics has announced approximately $28 million in new orders for its SeaPower batteries and Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) systems from five clients, including two new customers.

Kraken Robotics Inc. has secured approximately $28 million in new orders for its SeaPower batteries and Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) systems. The orders come from five clients, two of whom are new to the company.
The contracts include battery agreements from three large international defense companies and a SAS system order from a new commercial Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) manufacturer. Kraken Robotics stated that its products are currently integrated or being integrated into more than 30 different UUV platform types worldwide.
This influx of orders highlights the growing demand for Kraken's subsea technology. The company specializes in providing 3D imaging sensors, power solutions, and robotic systems designed to address challenges in ocean environments.
Kraken Robotics, headquartered in Canada, is also in the process of expanding its capabilities through a significant acquisition. The company announced in March 2026 its planned acquisition of Covelya Group Limited, a provider of underwater technology solutions. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
