Kraken Robotics Secures $40 Million in New Orders

Kraken Robotics Inc. has announced a surge in new orders totaling $40 million, primarily for its SeaPower battery technology and Kraken Sonar (SAS) systems. The orders also include significant defense contracts, underscoring the growing demand for the company's underwater robotics and sensors.

Among the recent bookings are $35 million in SeaPower battery sales and $24 million in defense orders, according to company statements. Kraken Robotics has also secured $28 million in combined battery and sonar system orders and a $3 million contract for an offshore wind boulder detection survey in Europe.

Further bolstering its market position, Kraken Robotics recently announced the signing of a strategic acquisition aimed at expanding its global maritime capabilities. While details of the acquisition are pending, the move signifies the company's intent to broaden its service offerings and geographic reach.

These new orders and strategic initiatives come as Kraken Robotics continues to develop and demonstrate its advanced marine technologies. The company has recently showcased the successful launch and recovery of its KATFISH autonomous sonar system from a SeaSens USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle), highlighting advancements in autonomous maritime operations. Kraken also recently closed a C$102.5 million public offering of subscription receipts to fund its growth and operations.
