KTGY and San Mateo County Community College District Open New Affordable Housing Community
Architecture firm KTGY and the San Mateo County Community College District have opened College Ridge, a new six-acre affordable housing community adjacent to Skyline College in San Bruno.

Architecture firm KTGY and the San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD) have announced the grand opening of College Ridge, a new mixed-use apartment community located on the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula in San Bruno. The six-acre development includes 30 affordable apartments designed for college faculty and staff.
In partnership with SummerHill Homes and D.R. Horton, KTGY designed the community to meet the housing needs of Skyline College faculty and staff. The development features one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 796 to 1,385 square feet. Eight residences are designed for accessibility and are located on the ground floor.
College Ridge is designed to meet LEED Silver certification standards. Sustainable design principles include site-sensitive infill development, the use of EnergyStar appliances, low-emitting products, on-site electric car charging stations, and native, drought-tolerant landscaping.
The community also includes 40 market-rate single-family homes, also designed and developed by KTGY. These homes integrate with the surrounding residential neighborhood and served as the catalyst for the public-private partnership that enabled the creation of the affordable housing. This marks the 30th affordable housing development spearheaded by KTGY in the Bay Area.
