Kuaishou's AI unit Kling AI raises nearly $3 billion
Kling AI, Kuaishou's artificial intelligence video generation business, has secured nearly $3 billion in external funding. The capital infusion aims to support the company's transition to independent commercial operations.

Kling AI, the artificial intelligence video generation unit of Chinese short-video platform Kuaishou, announced on July 2 that it has raised nearly $3 billion in external funding. This financing round is intended to support Kling AI's move towards fully independent commercial operations and is projected to bring its post-money valuation to $18 billion.
The funding round was co-led by a consortium of investors including CPE, Guofang Venture Capital, BlueFive, Tencent, CITIC Securities, and Zhongguancun Science City Fund, with participation from CAS Investment. Other notable investors include Alibaba Cloud, Baidu, and Huace Film & TV, among dozens of other participants.
Lighthouse Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor for the transaction and also invested through its Lighthouse Founders’ Fund (L2F). The Chinese financial advisory firm has a long-standing relationship with Kuaishou, having previously advised the company on early-stage fundraising efforts dating back 12 years.
