Kuaishou's AI unit Kling secures RMB 1.4 billion from China AI fund
Kuaishou's AI division, Beijing Kling Technology, has signed agreements to bring in the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund and Charoen Pokphand Robot as new investors. The investments bolster the company's capital structure post-spinout.

Kuaishou's artificial intelligence unit, Beijing Kling Technology, has secured significant funding through agreements with the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund and Charoen Pokphand Robot.
The China AI fund is investing RMB 1.4 billion (approximately $195 million) for roughly 1.14% of the company. CP Robot will invest approximately $19.29 million (RMB 131.45 million) for about 0.11%.
Both investors will receive redemption rights as part of the agreements, and Kuaishou confirmed that the subscription limit was fully utilized. These transactions update Kling's ownership structure following its spinout from Kuaishou.
The generative video business gains additional capital and new strategic shareholders, positioning it for further development and expansion in the competitive AI landscape.
