Logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel has added four new routes to its Cool Corridor network for temperature-sensitive healthcare products. The expansion connects major pharmaceutical hubs across Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America.
Logistics company Kuehne+Nagel has expanded its Cool Corridor network for temperature-sensitive healthcare logistics by adding four new international airfreight routes.
The new routes connect Frankfurt and Atlanta, Chicago and Narita, and Brussels and São Paulo, and Chicago and São Paulo. The network now comprises 12 airfreight lanes linking major healthcare and pharmaceutical hubs across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
The Frankfurt-to-Atlanta route includes dedicated weekly capacity on Kuehne+Nagel's own Boeing 747-8 freighter, Inspire. The Cool Corridors are designed for products such as vaccines, peptides, biologics, and other temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, utilizing GDP-compliant handling and controlled transfer processes to minimize Time Out of Range (ToR) during shipment.
Kuehne+Nagel states that this model helps customers maintain product quality while using lighter passive packaging, potentially reducing logistics costs and transport emissions. The expansion reflects the company's strategic focus on strengthening its healthcare logistics capabilities, aiming to provide reliable, GDP-compliant end-to-end transportation solutions for global pharmaceutical customers.
