Kymeta begins multi-orbit mobile antenna orders fulfillment
Kymeta has started fulfilling customer orders for its first multi-orbit, on-the-move flat-panel antennas. The Osprey u8 HGL terminals provide hybrid GEO/LEO/LTE connectivity for military users.

Redmond, Washington – Kymeta has begun shipping its first multi-orbit, on-the-move flat-panel satellite antennas. The Kymeta Osprey u8 HGL terminals are designed for military users and offer combined GEO/LEO/LTE connectivity.
The Osprey u8 HGL terminal is currently the first commercially available multi-orbit solution supporting Eutelsat OneWeb's LEO network. Kymeta announced the product launch in October last year and is now fulfilling a backlog of orders.
The equipment is designed to withstand challenging and rugged environments. Its features include durability, low power consumption, low visibility, and ease of use. The Osprey u8 HGL includes a field-swappable modem cartridge enabling connectivity with the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO network, as well as an iDirect 950mp cartridge for TRANSEC services over the GEO network.
Kymeta states that military users provided positive feedback during field trials, noting the terminal's performance and seamless switching between LEO and GEO satellites. The company emphasizes the need for dependable, adaptable on-the-go communication systems in contemporary military operations.
