Kymeta Secures $20 Million Order From U.S. Department of Defense
Kymeta will supply over 100 satellite terminals and connectivity services to the U.S. Department of Defense. The contract reinforces Kymeta's role as a provider of military communication solutions.
Redmond, Washington – Kymeta, a manufacturer of satellite terminals, announced a $20 million order from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The contract includes over 100 Kymeta Osprey u8 terminals and multi-orbit connectivity services via its global Kymeta Broadband (KBB) network.
The order strengthens Kymeta's position as a provider to multiple branches within the DoD. The Osprey u8 terminals are capable of seamlessly switching between secure (TRANSEC) and non-TRANSEC networks, designed for reliable performance in challenging environments.
Kymeta's solutions support a PACE (Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency) communication strategy, offering flexible connectivity options for military personnel. The company is also developing an AutoPACE feature to eliminate the need for manual network switching through its intelligent communication platform.
For security reasons, the specific branch within the DoD cannot be named. Kymeta has previously supplied terminals and connectivity services valued at over $30 million to this same department in 2026.
