IT services firm Kyndryl has introduced an integrated modernization service designed to accelerate the update of enterprise applications and infrastructure. The service combines Kyndryl’s agentic AI-driven software capabilities with AWS Transform to provide a repeatable framework for technology evolution.
Kyndryl’s internal data indicates that approximately 50% of organizations are currently behind their modernization goals. By moving away from project-based modernization toward a continuous, automated workflow, the company aims to help clients mitigate transformation risks and improve operational efficiency. The integration allows enterprises to tackle technical debt while building AI-ready architectures.
"Many organizations are still treating modernization as a destination when it should be a continuous business capability," said Shawn D'Souza, Global Modernization Leader at Kyndryl. The firm utilizes its Kyndryl Bridge platform to deploy pre-built agentic workflows, which are intended to reduce the reliance on scarce specialized skill sets during complex migrations.
The collaboration serves as a component of the AWS Transform initiative, focusing on cloud, security, and FinOps operations. By leveraging this combined approach, Kyndryl intends to provide enterprises with a governance-focused path toward modernizing core technology environments.
