Kyocera Launches DIGNO BX4 Smartphone for Business Market in Japan

Kyocera announced the upcoming launch of its new DIGNO BX4 smartphone in the Japanese market in late October. The device is targeted at enterprise users and will be available through the SoftBank carrier channel.

The DIGNO BX4 is designed for long-term use, with Kyocera stating it will support up to four Android version upgrades and receive at least five years of security updates from its release date. The phone has also achieved Google's "Android Enterprise Recommended" certification, indicating it meets enterprise requirements for device security and management.

Hardware specifications include a 6.1-inch HD+ IPS LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The camera system features a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

Key business-oriented features include "call recording" functionality for up to 60 minutes per call and "wet hand touch" for operation even with wet hands or screen. It also supports "glove touch" and meets MIL-STD-810H standards for water, dust, and shock resistance. The device includes fingerprint and face recognition, a headphone jack, and NFC/FeliCa payment capabilities.
