L2 Aviation Selected for USAF KC-46 CASPER Contract
L2 Aviation has been selected by the U.S. Air Force for the KC-46 CASPER contract, positioning it to compete for repair and exchange tasks on the KC-46A Pegasus fleet.
CINCINNATI and INDIANAPOLIS – L2 Aviation has secured a position on the U.S. Air Force's KC-46 Commercial Aircraft Strategic Parts Exchange and Repair (CASPER) Multiple Award Contract (MAC). The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, spanning a five-year ordering period, allows L2 Aviation to compete for future task orders supporting the repair, exchange, teardown, testing, and sustainment of commercial-derived components for the KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling aircraft.
This selection under the CASPER program marks a significant expansion for L2 Aviation within the defense market. According to company President and COO Tony Bailey, the award validates the company's investments in quality, engineering, manufacturing, and repair capabilities. The contract provides L2 Aviation the opportunity to bid on future work critical to the sustainment mission of one of the Air Force's key aircraft platforms.
The Boeing KC-46A Pegasus is the U.S. Air Force's primary aerial refueling tanker, providing global reach for refueling, cargo, passenger, and aeromedical evacuation missions. As the fleet grows and ages, robust and long-term sustainment and repair capabilities are essential for maintaining operational readiness.
L2 Aviation, previously known for its expertise in avionics integration, manufacturing, and certification, will now be able to leverage these strengths in a broader military sustainment role.
