Laars Heating Systems Hosts Women in Manufacturing Event

Rochester, N.H. – Laars Heating Systems welcomed members of the Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Northern New England chapter to its Rochester facility on October 15 for a networking event and guided plant tour. The event aimed to showcase opportunities for women in the manufacturing sector.

A female engineer from Laars led attendees through the company's manufacturing operations and laboratory, providing insights into the development and production of heating equipment. Participants also learned about various career paths available within manufacturing. WiM is a national organization that connects women working in the manufacturing industry.

Laurie Bridges, HR manager at Laars, highlighted the event's purpose. "There's so much more to manufacturing than people might realize, and women are doing important work in every part of it," Bridges stated. "We're looking forward to showing attendees what our team does every day. It's also a chance for the women to meet others in the industry, share their experiences and make connections that can last beyond this event."

Founded in 1948, Laars Heating Systems designs and manufactures boilers and water heaters. The Rochester operation includes both manufacturing and engineering work. This event forms part of WiM's broader efforts to foster networking and professional connections among women in manufacturing.
