Lake George RV Park Receives Two Statewide Honors at Close of 60th Anniversary Season
Lake George RV Park has concluded its 60th anniversary season, earning two statewide awards for its amenities and pet-friendly services. Reservations for 2027 are now open.
Lake George RV Park has closed out its 60th anniversary season, marking the occasion with two recent statewide honors. The Adirondack-based, family-owned campground was recognized as having the Best Campground Amenities and Best Pet-Friendly Campground at the 2026 Best of Camp New York Awards.
The park, which opened in 1966, celebrated its milestone year with the theme "Sixty Years of SMILES." Over six decades, the resort has evolved from a basic parking area for recreational vehicles into a destination offering extensive amenities and services, including pools, a water park, and dedicated pet facilities.
Today, the 130-acre resort features 370 full-hookup RV sites, 26 luxury cabins, and four rental trailers. Guest amenities include heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the Cascade Cove aquatic playground, a large hot tub, two indoor movie theaters, and complimentary paddle boats.
Reservations for the park's 2027 season are now being accepted. Lake George RV Park has been operated by three generations of the King family since its founding.
