Lantech launches new generation semi-automatic stretch wrappers

Louisville, KY – September 29, 2025 – Lantech, a company specializing in packaging automation since 1972, announced the launch of two new semi-automatic stretch wrappers: the SL400 and SL400LT. The machines, expected to be available for sale in early 2026, are engineered to assist customers in meeting growing automation objectives while addressing current labor market challenges.

The accelerating shift towards automation, coupled with a tightening labor market, has driven demand for solutions adaptable to existing warehouse infrastructures without requiring significant overhauls. Lantech's new wrappers are designed for minimal operator intervention and virtually no downtime, aiming to increase productivity and reduce shipping damage for their users.

The SL400 model features Load Guardian® technology with pre-set wrapping profiles to ensure consistent containment force on various load types. The Auto Film Cut‑off® feature automates film cutting at the end of a wrap cycle, saving labor. The SL400LT model offers advanced capabilities, including Load Seeking Clamp® 4.0 for improved initial film attachment and TurboTak® to eliminate film tails. Optional integration with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) is also available for the SL400LT.

"Our customers in the manufacturing and warehouse segments told us they needed a stretch-wrapping solution that simplifies the process for their operators, does not require a full system upgrade, and can grow with their automation strategy. The SL400 and SL400LT deliver exactly that – high-performance and durable machines that prepare consistent safe-to-ship loads with little to no operator touches and boost productivity," said Jim Lancaster, Owner and CEO of Lantech.
