Lantmännen and Kävlinge Municipality to Develop Åstaden District

Lantmännen Real Estate and Kävlinge Municipality have entered into a planning agreement to develop Åstaden, a new district situated on the historic former sugar mill site between Kävlinge and Furulund. The project aims to create approximately 1,900 homes.

The development plan includes a mix of building types, retail spaces, a school, childcare facilities, and other community services. The design emphasizes a green environment along the Kävlinge River, integrating the area's industrial heritage.

Åstaden is intended to serve as a natural connection between Kävlinge and Furulund, contributing to Kävlinge's growth and attractiveness. The project is positioned as a long-term urban development initiative.

Work on the detailed development plan has commenced, with the objective of having it adopted by 2028. Lantmännen Real Estate will be actively seeking business partners and potential buyers to realize various components of the Åstaden project during the planning phase.
