Lantmännen completes acquisition of Leipurin, strengthening food ingredients operations
Lantmännen has finalized the acquisition of Leipurin, a company focused on food ingredients. The deal aims to broaden and strengthen Lantmännen's value chain within the food ingredients sector.

Lantmännen has completed the acquisition of Leipurin, a company specializing in food ingredients, raw materials, and frozen products. The transaction, initially agreed upon in August 2025, received regulatory approval and was finalized on March 2, 2026.
Leipurin operates in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, bringing over a century of experience in the ingredient market. The company has an annual turnover of approximately SEK 1.6 billion and employs around 160 people. Leipurin will become part of Lantmännen's Energy Division.
The acquisition aligns with Lantmännen's strategy to expand its food ingredients business. According to Lantmännen's CEO Magnus Kagevik, this, combined with ongoing investments in pea protein production, offers significant growth opportunities in existing and new markets.
Lantmännen's Energy Division already produces plant-based food ingredients from wheat and oats and is constructing a new facility for pea and faba bean protein. The addition of Leipurin is expected to enhance the division's market reach and product offering to the food industry.
