Lantmännen completes acquisition of Leipurin to strengthen food ingredients business
Lantmännen has finalized the acquisition of Leipurin. The deal strengthens Lantmännen's position in the food ingredients sector across Northern Europe.

Lantmännen has completed its acquisition of Leipurin, following the signing of the agreement in August 2025. The transaction received regulatory approval and was finalized on March 2, 2026. The acquisition of Leipurin, a significant supplier of food ingredients, raw materials, and frozen products, is set to bolster Lantmännen's operations in this sector.
Leipurin, which operates in Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic states, possesses over a century of experience in the ingredients market. The company reports an annual turnover of approximately SEK 1.6 billion and employs around 160 people. Leipurin also serves as an expert partner for bakeries and food producers.
Magnus Kagevik, CEO and Group President of Lantmännen, stated that the acquisition aligns with the company's ambition to broaden and strengthen its value chain within food ingredients. He indicated that this move, combined with existing businesses and a new investment in pea protein production, presents strong growth opportunities in both current and new markets.
Leipurin will become part of Lantmännen's Energy Division, which focuses on plant-based food ingredients. The division aims to enhance its market presence and offering to the food industry through Leipurin's expertise in product development and its established sales network, positioning Lantmännen as a leading player in Northern Europe's plant-based ingredients market.
