Lantmännen Reports Stable 2025 Result, Proposes Record Dividend

Lantmännen, the Swedish agricultural cooperative, reported a stable financial result for the 2025 fiscal year, with an adjusted operating income of SEK 2,108 million. This figure is a slight decrease from the previous year's SEK 2,166 million but reflects a strong finish to a challenging period. The company's board has proposed a record dividend payout of SEK 1,280 million to its members, who are Swedish farmers.

The company faced a challenging market, but a strong performance in the latter part of the year compensated for an initially weak start. The Agriculture division saw a significant improvement, driven by a large, high-quality Swedish harvest that boosted cost coverage within grain infrastructure. The Food division also improved its results, partly due to acquisitions. However, the Energy division experienced difficulties, primarily due to low ethanol prices, leading to a lower contribution compared to the prior year.

"I am proud that Lantmännen ends the year on a strong note and delivers a stable result despite a challenging market," said Group President and CEO Magnus Kagevik. He highlighted the company's recent investments, totaling nearly SEK 3 billion, in Swedish food production and grain infrastructure, aimed at enhancing competitiveness and long-term food preparedness.

Key divisional results included SEK 615 million from Agriculture (compared to SEK 302 million previously), SEK 221 million from Energy (down from SEK 555 million), and SEK 1,157 million from the Food division (an increase from SEK 1,064 million). The Real Estate division contributed SEK 372 million (compared to SEK 379 million).

The proposed record dividend will be presented for decision at the annual general meeting on May 7, 2026. Lantmännen also completed the divestment of its Swecon division to Volvo Construction Equipment during the period, classifying it as discontinued operations.
