Lantmännen Reports Strong Results for Second Four-Month Period

Lantmännen has reported a historically strong result for its second four-month period of 2026, with adjusted operating income reaching SEK 1,483 million, an increase from SEK 995 million in the same period last year. The company attributed the earnings improvement primarily to the performance of its Energy and Agriculture divisions, alongside ongoing cost-saving and restructuring initiatives.

For the year to date, adjusted operating income increased to SEK 2,035 million from SEK 1,358 million in the corresponding period of 2025. The Agriculture Division saw its operating income climb to SEK 571 million (SEK 391 million), bolstered by Swedish operations, efficient handling of the 2025 record harvest, and increased volumes in the feed business. The Energy Division's operating income rose to SEK 275 million (SEK 53 million), largely due to positive developments in its biorefineries.

The Food Division's operating income was lower year-on-year at SEK 468 million (SEK 519 million), primarily due to challenges faced by Lantmännen Unibake in the European market and a difficult cost environment. The Real Estate Division, however, reported improved operating income of SEK 161 million (SEK 120 million).

Lantmännen President and CEO Magnus Kagevik highlighted the need for increased cooperation between policymakers and businesses to strengthen Swedish food production and preparedness amidst global uncertainty. He noted that the company continues to invest throughout the value chain to support a more resilient food supply.
