Lantmännen Unibake, one of Europe's largest bakery groups and part of the Swedish agricultural cooperative Lantmännen, has acquired Boboli Benelux B.V. This Dutch company is a leader in savoury bakery products, offering solutions across bake-off and chilled technologies.
The acquisition is a strategic move to strengthen Lantmännen Unibake's presence in the European savoury segment. Boboli Benelux specializes in Mediterranean flatbreads such as focaccias and pizzas, holding strong positions in the Benelux, UK, and Germany. The company employs approximately 200 people and reported net sales of around 50 million euros in 2024.
Boboli Benelux operates a modern bakery in Bunschoten, Netherlands, which will become Lantmännen Unibake's first facility in the country. The company brings significant capacity and expertise in savoury product development, aligning with Lantmännen Unibake's strategic priorities for growth in this category.
