Lantmännen's historical book, "The Story of Lantmännen", has been awarded gold in the Publishing Prize competition, recognized in the "Print – Non-fiction, Reportage and Narrative" category. The award celebrates excellence in editorial and marketing communication.
The jury, composed of industry professionals including editors, journalists, and designers, cited the book's "creative layout, elegant typography, and skilled bookbinding" as reasons for the win. The Publishing Prize is an annual event honoring outstanding achievements in publishing.
"The Story of Lantmännen" chronicles the company's 120-year history, starting from its founding in 1905 as the Swedish Farmers' Supply and Crop Marketing Association. The book draws upon extensive archival research and contributions from current and former employees, as well as the Swedish farmers who own the cooperative.
Lantmännen stated that the book aims to make its history accessible while highlighting its role in the development of Swedish agriculture and business. Earlier this year, the company was also recognized as Sweden's most sustainable food company.
