Laowa has released its TS 24mm F2 tilt lens, available for multiple camera mounts. The lens aims to minimize distortion for architectural and spatial photography.
Laowa's TS 24mm F2 tilt lens is now available for purchase, supporting a range of camera mounts including Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, Leica L, Fujifilm GFX, and Hasselblad XCD. The lens is priced at 7650 yuan (approximately $1050 USD).
The lens features an independent dual-axis control system for tilt and shift, allowing for precise adjustments. On full-frame cameras, it offers a ±10° tilt angle and ±12mm shift. When used with medium format systems like GFX and XCD, the tilt range remains ±10°, with a shift of ±12mm on both the X and Y axes.
Laowa states the lens is engineered to suppress barrel and pincushion distortion, offering near-zero distortion. This characteristic is beneficial for architectural and interior photography, reducing the need for post-processing correction and improving workflow efficiency.
The optical construction comprises five ED (extra-low dispersion) elements, two aspherical elements, and four high-refractive index elements. The lens consists of 13 elements in 10 groups and uses 77mm filters. Its weight is approximately 860 grams.
