Latham & Watkins expands energy and infrastructure practice with five new partners

Law firm Latham & Watkins has appointed five new partners to its Project Development & Finance practice. The incoming group consists of Jason Bennett, Matthew Fusina, Thomas Holmberg, Jessica Adkins, and Charles Armbrust, who will focus on energy and infrastructure projects including LNG, renewables, and data centers.

The additions involve experienced lawyers moving from competing firms: Bennett, Fusina, and Holmberg arrive from Baker Botts, Adkins from Sidley Austin, and Armbrust from Orrick. Their combined expertise addresses debt financing and project development needs, reflecting current market trends toward large-scale energy infrastructure and AI-driven data center investments.

Rich Trobman, Chair and Managing Partner of Latham & Watkins, described the move as a response to the growing demand for complex advisory services in a shifting global energy sector. The firm noted that these appointments are part of an effort to broaden its capabilities in Houston and international markets.
