Launch Africa Ventures Completes 15 New Fund II Investments in 2026
Early-stage venture capital firm Launch Africa Ventures has announced 15 new investments made in the first half of 2026. The investments target technology companies across Africa.

Launch Africa Ventures (LA), an early-stage venture capital firm, has closed 15 new investments during the first six months of 2026. The firm focuses on technology companies addressing significant challenges across sectors like fintech, health-tech, agri-tech, logistics, and ed-tech.
The new investments span artificial intelligence, future of work, B2B commerce, supply chain, and embedded finance, among other infrastructure-led sectors. These companies are located in Francophone, Northern, Western, and Southern African markets. Notable new investments include Agridex, Udu Technologies, Fincart, and Tayar, alongside follow-on funding for existing portfolio companies.
With a portfolio of over 180 companies across 25 countries, LA invests from pre-seed to pre-Series A. The firm provides portfolio companies with follow-on capital, global distribution partnerships, and access to a network of over 400 limited partners (LPs) in 45 countries.
Launch Africa Ventures reviews over 1,200 companies annually. "We invest where the rest of the market isn't looking yet," said Uwem Uwemakpan, head of investments at LA, emphasizing the importance of supporting nascent companies to secure future growth even during market downturns.
